LET THE WILD RUMPUS....

21 authors and illustrators ascended on Woodlands this Sunday afternoon, ready for an early start in the morning.

At 9.30am, buses will roll in from everywhere bringing hundreds of kids from all over the region - ready for a day of fun, literature, books and art.

So what do authors and illustrators do when they meet pre-Festival in such a beautiful place as Woodlands at Marburg?

They set up marquees...

They take photographs
Chris Cheng,  Oliver Phommavanh (hiding), Deb Abela, Sue Whiting
They walk through the paddocks dodging cow pats and bull ants.

They admire the architecture and...

eat a chocolate birthday cake.

And wait for the Festival to begin!
